La definizione di alimentazione sostenibile è arrivata dalla FAO nel 2010: sono sostenibili quegli stili alimentari “con un basso impatto ambientale, che contribuiscono a garantire la sicurezza alimentare e una vita sana alle generazioni presenti e future. Le alimentazioni sostenibili sono protettive e rispettose della biodiversità e dell’ecosistema, culturalmente accettabili, accessibili, economicamente corrette e convenienti; nutrizionalmente adeguate, sane e sicure; con la capacità di ottimizzare le risorse naturali e umane”. Mangiare sostenibile è un concetto che non si applica solo alle scelte dei consumatori, ma che include tutta la catena di produzione e consumo del cibo.
Noi sosteniamo la necessità di alimentarsi in modo sostenibile e spieghiamo ai nostri clienti come è possibile farlo. La nostra produzione di carne ha un basso impatto ambientale, è eticamente corretta ed economicamente accessibile in quanto conveniente, sana e sicura dal punto di vista nutrizionale.
Scegliere i nostri prodotti significa fare una scelta consapevole di acquistare cibo che ha un basso impatto ambientale: nel produrre la nostra carne non ci sono state emissioni inquinanti né dispendio energetico né tantomeno sofferenza animale o sfruttamento lavorativo.
L’alimentazione dei nostri maiali è composta da granoturco prodotto nelle nostre proprietà ed è rigorosamente OGM free. Disponiamo di un impianto fotovoltaico da 20kw sul tetto dell’azienda agricola che in primavera ed estate ci permette di avere l‘autosufficienza energetica e in inverno di ridurre del 50% i consumi di energia elettrica.
Inoltre grazie alla vendita diretta riduciamo a zero i passaggi tra il produttore ed il consumatore e abbattiamo le spese legate alla distribuzione e al trasporto.
Scegliere di acquistare le nostre carni e salumi a km 0 è una scelta più sostenibile per l’ambiente, più economica ed in grado di valorizzare le produzioni locali.
Il consumatore, che compra i nostri prodotti, fa quindi una scelta precisa, al momento dell’acquisto, ed è indipendente dalle manipolazioni pubblicitarie operate dalla grande distribuzione.
